YUZURU MAEDA (zentai performer)

Yuzuru is an artist and musician from Japan.
She has been working on the art project called 'Zentai Art Project', which is sound art, performance art and video works.
In her Zentai Art Project, she is  trying visualise her inspirations by expressing them in video frames and performances. Her generic theme for the project is about ‘Who am I’ and ‘What is the truth and reality’ in life. She thinks these answers are beyond what words can explain and she hopes to come closer to it through the series of Zentai Art videos, performance and music.


CHARLENE SHEPHERDSON (poet)
Charlene is obsessed with the sounds words make when taken apart. She forges new towers of meaning with stories to help people find their voices. Her spoken word and improvised poetry have featured in poetry slams and open mics such as SPEAK., Bangkok Lyrical Lunacy, SPORE Art Salon and LIT UP Festival. Her visual poetry has been seen in the Arts House, the Substation and in Singapore libraries under National Art Council’s Project LAVA. Charlene is 1/3 of the spacer.gif collective, who runs destination: INK - the open open mic and a founding member of Party Action People, a spoken word troupe. She looks for opportunities to create dialogue and collaboration between communities, especially involving integrative learning and creative education for children of diverse needs.

Jerrold Chong is a Singapore-born director/animator currently pursuing his BFA in Animation at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). He continually seeks to push the boundaries of animation as an art form, animating in a variety of techniques such as hand-drawn, stop-motion and paint-on-glass animation. He is drawn to the tactile, spontaneous qualities of traditional media and loves to experiment with visual form to strengthen the storytelling. His passion for cinema is driven by a desire to tell heartfelt and sincere stories that explore the depths of everyday life and the complexities of the human experience. His works often delve into surreal dreamlike world to explore universal themes. He hopes to direct an animated feature film in future.

Marylyn is a linguistics major at Nanyang Technological University. She hopes to continue amassing more obscure yet useful knowledge in time to come.

Besides sometimes fumbling with words, she enjoys theatre, strange and wonderful art of any sort, and has recently discovered spoken word poetry.
She has been called, among a slew of other things, an ‘erotic poet’. Marylyn believes in not being an open book, and writes for your bewilderment.
